CAMP KENNEDY
OUR STORY
American Councils for International Education Moldova in partnership with American Councils for International Education Romania and with the financial support of the Embassy of the United States of America in Moldova announces the launch of the School of Leadership, Education and Civic Engagement “J.F. Kennedy 2020 Moldova ”- digital edition.
The aim of the project is to train 25 young students from the Republic of Moldova to become active citizens, to learn more about the democratic values of the USA and American culture and to provide participants with the necessary tools to engage in civic and social responsibility activities. The project will familiarize students with the working principles of one of the well-known presidents of the United States, John F. Kennedy.
WHO CAN APPLY
To be eligible to participate in the program, each eligible student must meet the following criteria:
is a student at a school in the Republic of Moldova
is at least 16 and at most 18 years old at the start of the program
is interested in the topic of the program
is civically involved and has achieved good results in school and in the community
is enthusiastic about organizing civic projects in his community, in order to multiply the information and knowledge acquired
knows English
WHY CAMP KENNEDY
Camp Kennedy is dedicated to creative teenagers, eager to develop their leadership skills in the community and to get to know better the society in which they live. The project will end with the guidance of participants in coordinating and implementing civic projects in their community.
Between October 16-17 and October 23-24, participants will be involved in workshops, debates, online conferences with leaders active in promoting civic and community spirit in our country.
Then in November, the participants will be included in community internships in their localities, where they will develop projects and activities to develop the civic and social spirit of the participants.
Between December 11-12, the participants will participate in a leadership camp where they will exchange experiences and present the projects they implemented in their communities during the internship period. If pandemic conditions do not allow this, the camp will take place online.
